<div>My Father was in Chicago for work on the 6th of June and was walking one of his best friend’s dogs in the evening before turning in for the night. During this walk he was hit by a car, who fled the scene, and suffered catastrophic injuries to his brain, lungs, and body.

<div>As I write this he is, and has been since the incident, on life support and in a coma. There is no specific time table on this path of recovery as his body and mind will heal itself on its own time.

<div>My dad has been, and will always be, one of the greatest men I have ever known. He is a pillar of our family and loved by his friends, family, and even strangers because he truly is just such a wonderful man, friend, uncle, brother, cousin, son, and father.

<div>Any donation or form of assistance is appreciated beyond words. While my father does have insurance to help with the substantial bill which is inevitably coming, we do not see his insurance covering 100% of the expenses by any means. Any and all donations will go directly to helping with his journey back to health and help him as well as our family with things like medical expenses, rehabilitation for him, living assistance after he wakes up, and many more things as well.
