Hello, my name is Alex King, and I'm a 16 year old Boy Scout with Troop 1429 and a Junior at Northern High School. I'm working on earning my Eagle Scout rank, which means I need to plan and complete a big service project that will benefit our local community.

For my project and with the help of my fellow scouts I am building and installing a rock garden, benches, and planters near the front entrance of Windy Hill Middle School. I went to this school, so I know firsthand that students waiting for their rides have limited places to sit. The new benches will fix this problem. I also want to create a space that's more welcoming and a better spot for students and teachers to gather. I believe this project will make a real difference, both practically and aesthetically, for everyone who uses the school's entrance.

To get this project done, I need to raise money for materials like wood for the benches, rocks for the garden, and plants and soil for the planters. Any donation, no matter the size, would be a huge help and would get me one step closer to earning my Eagle Scout rank.
