<div>Alex Holland is a 16 year old boy with a life threatening medical condition called neurofibromatosis or NF for short.Alex was born with this medical condition.In the span of four months Alex went from running around like any 16 year old boy should be doing to using a walker for assistance to being wheelchair bound.He ended up losing all mobility in his arms and legs his first todays in the hospital.The MRI showed 200 plus tumors that are sitting at the bottom of his spine.Alex had surgery to help decompress the tumor that is sitting on his C1 and C2 vertebrae.They didn't get it all due to not knowing how the spine would react.There are possibly more surgeries to come.There are going to be months of rehab to help him learn to talk,walk and eat again on his own.His mom is staying at the hospital with him, while his dad and sister are at home 4.5 hours away and need to stay home so his sister can be in school. They plan to come up to st.Louis to visit Alex every weekend. His mom is on leave of absence from work until he is better and home. Anything that anyone could do help they would greatly appreciate it.
