<div>Tachycardia) For the past 7 years I've let this disorder frighten me. It's been an uphill fight, but this past week has been one of the scariest moments of my life.

<div>In just a few days, doctors have had to restart my heart four times to keep it from racing out of control.

</div>

<div>My heart rate shot up to 228, then just last night it spiked again to 252 bpm. That episode left me temporarily paralyzed.

</div>

<div>I couldn't feel my legs, my hand was frozen to my side, and my speech was slurred like I had a stroke.

</div>

<div>For two terrifying hours, I was trapped in my own body.

</div>

<div>It's just me, my kids, and our pets and as much as I love pouring into my city, my community, and showing up for everyone else, I have to pour into myself right now. My life and my ability to be present for my children depends on it.

</div>

<div>I'm doing everything I can to fight for my health and my healing, but I need help to do it the right way.

</div>

<div>I'm building a plan that includes:

<div>I'll be undergoing my second heart surgery next week, and the road to recovery won't be easy or instant. I need to heal fully so I can care for my children from a place of strength, not survival. I want to be present, not pushing through pain. I want to heal from the inside out.
