Please Help Ale get her Surgery so she can come back to Isla Animals
If you visited Isla Animals in the last 8 years, you probably met Ale.
She has been with us for a long time, always happy, always caring for the animals, always loving and compassioned, always hardworking. When we moved to our new shelter, she moved with us and has been through it all with us and our rescues.
Ale has continued to care for our rescues all this time, she has dedicated time, energy and tons of love to make sure we can continue with our mission.
A few months back, Ale had what looked like a minor knee injury. She is always very careful and she’s used to controlling her diabetes and making sure she’s healthy and strong to deal with the crazy rescue life. However, this injury got worse and started a chain of issues that left her unable to come back to the shelter. We continued to support her as we could, but it has gotten to the point where she needs 2 surgeries, and we need YOUR help to get Ale healthy again!
One of the surgeries she needs is quite urgent and will massively improve her current quality of life. We are hoping to help her fundraise the money for this, as she is struggling to keep up with bills and support her family on Isla Mujeres. The estimated cost of this first surgery is around 2 thousand dollars. And that’s the goal of this fundraiser. Anything on top of that will go to her medicines and to support her family while she is not able to come back to work.
We really want to have her start her healing journey and go back to doing what she loves… animals!
