Hello everyone,

I am reaching out to you today to share the story of my friend, Alaa, and her family. They are trapped in Gaza, enduring unimaginable conditions, and they desperately need our help to survive.

Alaa is a 21-year-old from Gaza, Palestine. She is a bright and ambitious young woman with a diploma in software and databases. Alongside her studies, she was pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering at the University of Palestine and had just begun her third year. She dreamed of a future filled with innovation and success.

Then, the war began on October 7th. It shattered their world.

Their lives were turned upside down. The beautiful, colorful life they knew was erased. Alaa lost family members, her sense of safety, and her ability to study. Her university, like so much of Gaza, has been damaged or destroyed. Their family home has been damaged, leaving them exposed to the elements. They have been displace multiple times, searching for safety that doesn't exist.

The Current Reality in Gaza:

The situation on the ground is dire. The war has obliterated the essential pillars of life: education, healthcare, and the economy.

A Home in Ruins:

Their shelter is damaged and offers little protection. With winter approaching, they desperately need funds for repairs and tarpaulins to shield them from the rain and cold.

Starvation-Level Prices:

Basic food has become a luxury. The price of a simple bag of flour has skyrocketed to an astonishing $45. Providing even one meal a day is a constant and desperate struggle.

A Dream on Pause:

With constant power outages and no reliable internet, Alaa cannot continue her studies in Software Engineering. Her dream is hanging by a thread.

Je vous écris aujourd’hui pour partager l’histoire de mon amie Alaa et de sa famille, qui sont piégées à Gaza dans des conditions inimaginables. Elles ont désespérément besoin de notre aide pour survivre.

Alaa, 21 ans, est une jeune femme brillante originaire de Gaza en Palestine. Diplômée en logiciels et bases de données, elle poursuivait une licence en ingénierie logicielle à l’Université de Palestine, rêvant d’un avenir fait d’innovation et de réussite.

Mais depuis le 7 octobre, la guerre a tout détruit.

Elle a perdu des proches, sa maison a été gravement endommagée, et son université n’existe plus. Sa famille a dû fuir plusieurs fois, sans jamais trouver de véritable sécurité.

La réalité aujourd’hui à Gaza :

Un abri en ruines : leur maison est endommagée et offre peu de protection. Avec l’hiver qui approche, ils ont besoin de réparations urgentes et de bâches contre le froid et la pluie qui peuvent être fatales.

La faim : les prix ont explosé à titre d'exemple : un simple sac de farine coûte désormais 45 $. Trouver un repas par jour est un combat.

Un rêve brisé : sans électricité ni internet, Alaa ne peut plus poursuivre ses études.

‍‍‍ Ils sont huit : Alaa, ses parents (Reem et Ala’a) et ses cinq frères et sœurs (Ola, Eman, Sondos, Mohamed et Ahmad).

Nous lançons une collecte pour leur permettre de :

Réparer leur maison et se protéger du froid,

Acheter de la nourriture et des médicaments,

Aider Alaa à poursuivre ses études,

Se préparer à l’hiver. Survivre.
