<div>I find it difficult to put into words the overwhelming emotions and pain that are consuming me. My heart aches in a way I never thought possible, as I never imagined finding myself in such a devastating situation.

<div>My youngest son, Aitan, is a vibrant 8-year-old boy, brimming with life, joy, and energy. He is smart, loving, caring, friendly, kind, and funny – a pure-hearted soul. Recently, our lives were shattered when he was diagnosed with Ewing sarcoma, a rare and aggressive type of cancer that affects the bones or the tissue around them. Fewer than 30 children in the UK are diagnosed with it each year. It’s also highly aggressive, which means it can spread quickly to other parts of the body.

<div>It all began with persistent pain in his left shoulder back in October 2023. Despite visiting our GP, who initially dismissed it as muscle pain, the pain intensified, accompanied by fevers, and eventually led us to the A&amp;E just before Christmas in December. After undergoing multiple MRI scans, X-rays, CT scans, and a biopsy, we received the devastating news, albeit delayed due to being outpatients, that Aitan had Ewing sarcoma. The tumor had grown rapidly on his shoulder/scapula, severely restricting the movement of his left arm.

<div>In March 2024, we were presented with a treatment plan that is nothing short of brutal and aggressive. Aitan must endure a minimum of 14 rounds of chemotherapy, followed by surgery and radiation therapy. We anticipate at least a year of ongoing treatment.

<div>This journey has been nothing short of a nightmare, every parent's worst fear. Our lives were irrevocably altered in a matter of hours.
</div>

</div>
<div>I've created this page to humbly ask for your help in supporting my beautiful, courageous son in his battle against this insidious disease. Aitan dreams of reclaiming his joyous childhood, filled with laughter and carefree moments.
</div>

<div>Financially, I'm struggling as I dedicate every moment to Aitan's care. Unable to work, I'm by his side 24/7, providing constant support and reassurance. Hospital stays, which occur every two weeks for nearly a week at a time, incur substantial expenses. Additionally, due to his weakened immune system, Aitan cannot attend school or interact with friends, further isolating him.

<div>The cost of his medical needs, including immune-boosting supplements and organic food, is significant – approximately £700-800 per month. I'm also exploring alternative therapies like hyperbaric oxygen therapy and high doses of vitamin C to complement his treatment plan.

<div>I will spare no effort to save my son, and I am reaching out to you for any assistance you can offer. Your kindness and generosity, no matter how small, will help us continue this fight and restore Aitan's life.
