Dear friends, loved ones, and compassionate humans,

My name is Elise Messersmith, and this is a sincere call for help and support for the Rodriguez family.

My dearest friend Ahlana has been bravely battling stage 4 metastatic cancer that has now spread to her lymph nodes and a few bones. The bones being her right arm, a rib on her right side, also to her pelvis, and she is currently wheelchair-bound. Ahlana has bravely fought quietly and suffered through many, many months of chemotherapy, radiation, immunotherapy, and surgery without success. Ahlana has also suffered a significant involuntary weight loss of 30 pounds due to the side effects of these treatments.

Ahlana is an amazingly selfless wife & mother who fiercely loves her husband Eddie and their children: Sakara (17), Gianna (17), Passion (13), King (12), and Peighton (21). Always giving endless sacrifices, unwavering devotion, and putting everyone's wants and needs above hers.

Due to Ahlana's battle and the incredible amount of pain she is in, her husband Eddie is unable to work as she requires 24-hour care. She is unable to walk as her pain is unbearable and requires a computer chair to transport her whenever she leaves the bed. She is mostly bed-bound. Eddie is the sole provider as Ahlana stays home to take care of the home & family, leaving them in need of support and financial assistance. I humbly ask you today to help this beautiful wife, mother, sister, daughter, and wonderful friend to so many people who love her.
