<div>On July 6th, 2024, amidst a deadly heat wave across California, we tragically lost Adrienne Boulware, affectionately known as “Twin.” Adrienne was a 47-year-old mother, grandmother, and beloved community member incarcerated at the Central California Women’s Facility (CCWF) in Chowchilla.

<div>This fundraiser is being organized by Adrienne’s daughters, grandchildren and extended family in partnership with the California Coalition for Women Prisoners (CCWP). All donations will go directly to Adrienne’s family who urgently need funds for an independent autopsy to investigate her death, as well as for funeral services.

<div>Despite temperatures topping 114° in California’s Central Valley, and officials urging the utmost caution with heat related illness, the prison failed to implement even the most basic heat precautions to protect people’s lives. While we grieve the heartbreaking, unexpected loss of Adrienne we continue to fight the inhumane conditions that led to her death.
