<div> On the morning of August 12, 2025, Hector Adán López Rojo, a young man with a disability, was unjustly detained in Oakland, California. The same day they were detained at their home along with others, they were transferred to Washington, Tacoma, without warning and without the opportunity to contact an attorney. They are being held without a court order. He is a young man who has supported himself and helps support his family back home, who depend entirely on him. He emigrated from the country due to his medical condition and to be able to live safely and avoid abuse.

</div>
<div> In this case, Adán has Dow Syndrome, a medical condition that he has struggled with daily since birth, and for which he does not receive medication to treat it in detention.

At this moment, he faces unimaginable challenges, and we are doing everything possible to fight for his freedom and dignity.
