Help Us Save Our Son Adam: Battling Wilson’s Disease
Hi, my name is Sarah Ernesto, and I am reaching out as a mother fighting for her son. On November 22, 2024, our family’s world was turned upside down. Our precious boy was rushed to the hospital after suddenly becoming jaundiced, exhausted, and confused while at home with his dad.
We were immediately transferred to the children’s hospital in downtown Boise, Idaho, where an avalanche of tests began. For days, there were no answers—until my husband mentioned Wilson’s disease. After further testing, our son was diagnosed with this rare and devastating genetic disorder.
Wilson’s disease is a condition that prevents the body from properly excreting copper, causing it to accumulate in the liver. Left untreated, it can lead to severe liver damage—or even liver failure.
Our son’s condition has become critical. We’re heading to Utah for specialized care and to assess his liver function. There’s a possibility he may need a liver transplant. As we navigate this uncertain and terrifying journey, we are facing mounting medical bills and unexpected travel expenses.
We’ve created this GoFundMe as a way to ask for your help—whether through a donation, a share, or simply keeping our son in your prayers. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps.
Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts. We appreciate you all.
