<div>Last Thursday, Marissa and Brett Wheeler took their 2-year-old daughter, Adalae, to the emergency room in Vernal after becoming concerned about her health. There, doctors discovered a large mass in her abdomen. Due to the seriousness of her condition, she was transported by ambulance to Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City.

<div>On Friday evening, <strong>Adalae underwent emergency surgery</strong> after doctors determined that the tumor had ruptured. The mass measured approximately 6 x 11 x 13 cm. While we are still waiting for the pathology results, her surgical team believes it is likely cancer.

<div>As you can imagine, this has been an overwhelming and heartbreaking time for Marissa and Brett. To add to their burden, the family recently moved and experienced a lapse in their medical insurance coverage. They are now facing significant medical expenses while focusing all of their energy on caring for their sweet little girl.
