Hi, I’m Abi! I was born and raised in Maryland, and I’m raising money for a Phlebotomy class. My career goal is to become a Physician Assistant. I am very thankful for my experience as an Emergency Medical Technician, but it’s time for me to switch it up. As an EMT, I accomplished so much and was able to explore parts of the United States.

At the beginning of my career, Covid-19 was at its peak. My first job was at an independent ambulance company in Baltimore doing interfacility transport. I worked there for over a year. Towards the end of my time there, I started working at multiple vaccine clinics as a Covid-19 Vaccinator. I resigned from doing interfacility transports to give Covid-19 vaccines in clinics throughout Maryland and DC. I later accepted my first EMT contract job. At 22, I got on a plane to Colorado to continue giving the Covid-19 vaccines on their Mobile Vaccine Clinic. I worked with people of all ages and got to experience so much out there. After my contract ended, I went home to Maryland and worked as an EMT running 911 calls. The opportunity to take another Travel EMT job was given to me, and I took the risk. Next thing I know, I’m flying to North Dakota, where I continued to make an impact on the community and people I had the pleasure to meet.

Sadly, due to medical reasons, I can no longer work in prehospital medicine. That won't stop me from reaching my goal. The next step for me is to become a Phlebotomist so I can save up for Nursing school or whatever is next. Last stop will be Physician Assistant School!
