My name is Abigail Miranda, a candidate for American Heritage Girls' most prestigious award, the Stars and Stripes. As part of achieving this award, I am organizing a service project in order to impact my community.

I believe that access to education and strong literacy skills is one of the most important aspects of any community. That is why for my project, I am establishing mini-libraries through my city. I want to improve access to educational materials, but also to personal development guides and spiritual welfare books as well. I have partnered with the Christian Information and Service Center of Lufkin in order to accomplish my goal, as their investments in serving those in need inspire me to make my own impact.
