<div>We are running the ‘Pretty Muddy 5k’ on the 1st June at Herrington Park (<em>with absolutely zero preparation!!!</em>) to raise money for cancer research and to help support our main girl Abbie and her Husband Reed as they go through her Breast Cancer and Fertility journey together.

<div>As many of you know, Abbie and Reed have been trying for a while to grow their family, and after suffering two devastating miscarriages in 2024, their hearts have been left broken.
</div>

</div>
<div>At the end of the year Abbie discovered a lump in her breast. Due to her young age of 31, she thought it was unlikely anything to worry about but went for tests to be sure. In February 2025 she received devastating news and was diagnosed with triple positive (ER+, PR+ and HER2+) stage 2 breast cancer. HER2+ cancer is different to other Breast cancers which grows quicker and can be more aggressive. Less than 3% of women under 35 are diagnosed with breast cancer and only 20-25% are diagnosed with triple positive!

<div>Due to the nature of her cancer, Abbie’s chemotherapy reduces her chances of falling pregnant naturally even further. Fortunately, she has undergone egg retrieval prior to her chemotherapy to give her and Reed the best opportunity to have a family later after her treatment.

<div>Since moving to the USA in August 2018 Abbie has transitioned from free healthcare to paying for her treatments. Throughout the past few years these have increased significantly, An unexpected cost no one should have to face.
</div>

<div>We are hoping to raise as much money as possible which will be split between cancer research and to help support Abbie through this extremely difficult time.
