<div>This is my dad. This is the most selfless, kind, considerate, thoughtful, understanding person I know. He would starve to feed his kids, he would wear worn-out shoes to get us brand new ones, and he would freeze so that we had blankets. He would do anything for us, so in return, we are going to try to do everything for him in this time.

<div>My dad has never been 'normal' since he was in the army, but he has tried so hard to be for us. My dad served 10 years in the army and then got medically discharged due to him being injured in Iraq. First, the only problem with my dad was his shoulder and back because of being in the army. He has had 11 surgeries on his shoulders and one on his neck. After his neck surgery, he was well for a couple of months until he kept getting sick with pneumonia and bronchitis. It was constant; we could not get him to be healthy. After about 4-6 months, he was hospitalized for a brain infection, throat infection, and pneumonia. 1-2 months later, we found out he was having an optical stroke. He couldn’t walk, talk, and if he was talking, it was slow and stuttery. After a week, he was getting better. After 6 months, he started to quickly decline again. He was hospitalized for back pain and finding out his back was broken still from Iraq. In that hospital stay, it was found that he has lymphoma, a lymphatic cancer that causes fevers, fatigue, sweats, and inflamed lymph nodes.

<div>We are a family that lives off my mom and dad's retirement money. <strong>We are worried we will not have enough money for my dad's treatment to get him better and help him fight this cancer.</strong> His kids need him, and we cannot lose him. <strong>My dad is my best friend; he is the best person I know.</strong> If you can help at all in any way, we would appreciate it more than you could EVER know. Even if you cannot give monetary because, we understand this time is crazy, we could really use tons of prayers.
