With promises to roll back hard won rights, <a href="https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/texas-might-force-trans-folks-to-reverse-gender-changes-they-ve-already-made-on-their-ids/ar-AA1rEcDQ" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">undo legal document changes</a>, <a href="https://www.erininthemorning.com/p/national-trans-bans-both-trump-and" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">ban trans healthcare</a>, and even <a href="https://www.msnbc.com/opinion/msnbc-opinion/project-2025-porn-ban-lgbtq-transgender-rcna161562" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">criminalize simply existing while visibly trans</a>, I can no longer imagine a future for myself in this country.

<div>I’m planning to move to Uruguay, a country with far more supportive policies for trans people and a stable progressive government. This will give me the chance to rebuild my life in safety. Thankfully, I have a job that allows me to work remotely, but I need help to make this escape possible. <strong>I’m raising funds to cover costs for breaking my current lease, setting up a new home abroad, and hiring an immigration lawyer to navigate the process.</strong> It’s terrifying to uproot your life and leave everything behind, but staying here under these circumstances is no longer an option.
