<div>A loving family in St. Paul is facing an incredibly difficult time. The family consists of a couple, their 8-year-old daughter, and three young adults—including the mom's younger sister—all living together in a modest apartment. Their lives have been turned upside down by the recent ICE crackdown in the city. Not only have families in their building had their doors knocked on by ICE, but the climate in St. Paul has made it hard for them to feel safe at home or at work.

<div>The family works tirelessly at a local restaurant, but sales have dropped dramatically due to the current situation. The rent at the restaurant and their apartment are both significant burdens. Despite these challenges, they remain hopeful and committed to their dream of one day owning the restaurant. They don't want to walk away from everything they've built, but the financial strain and fear for their safety have made daily life overwhelming. They are considering temporarily relocating to stay safe, but worry about losing their apartment and restaurant if they can't keep up with rent.

<div>Here is a note from the family that shares more about their experience: More than 15 years ago we arrived in this state we called home. We never imagined ICE would bring fear into our community, breaking our economic strength and our dreams. The hope of having our own restaurant one day was born from the humblest beginnings: we started at home, selling bread door to door, trying to unite our people with every loaf and every shared cup of coffee. It has been a tremendous struggle to get here, with sacrifice and hope, sustained by my family. Today we accept our reality: we can’t go on with how unsafe it is feeling. This is not a final goodbye, it is a pause. Someday we hope to return, stronger, with warm bread and love to share. Thank you for every gesture of support and for walking alongside us. It means more than you can imagine.

<div>This family is not only focused on their own survival—they have also been volunteering to bring groceries to other families in their community who are impacted by the ICE crackdown. Their generosity and hard work show just how much they care about those around them. Any support you can offer will help cover rent expenses at both their home and restaurant, as well as some additional money to cover the cost of living. This will give them the chance to relocate temporarily and return when things are safer. Your donation will help this caring, community-minded family feel more safe and stable, and keep their dream of operating and one day owning their family-run restaurant alive. We are deeply grateful for any amount you can give.
