Support A Young Upcoming Scientist

My name is Corinne Jean-Gilles and I am sophomore at KIPP Academy Lynn Collegiate in Lynn, Massachusetts. KIPP Academy Lynn Collegiate is a school that has long hours and we start school in August. Even though, we are in school longer, it helps prepare me for college and it teaches me to be resilient. I got accepted into the Summer at Smith: Science and Engineering program at Smith College.This program gives high school girls a chance to live on a college campus for four weeks and to expand their knowledge in the science and engineering fields. Smith College is a prestigious college and the process of applying was getting me ready for the actual experience when I apply to college. I want to be a geneticist and this program will give me a jumpstart on my medical career. During the 2010 Haiti Earthquake, My family suffered a great loss and had to rebuild their economic foundation.I want to go to this program, but unfortunately due to these family emergencies my parents are not able to support me financially and are supporting my relatives in Haiti.
