PLEASE HELP SAVE THE KO FERAL CAT CREW!!!
Local rescuers have been caring for a mother cat and her three kittens in the KO Rail Yard on Long Island, NY until we learned the land they've called home since 2022 is being developed with new real estate, leaving this furry family without a home!
Because relocating cats can be very precarious to their health and safety, the only solution is to either rehome them with a cat sanctuary with hundreds of other cats at the hefty price of $12,000+ OR we can raise the same amount of funds for one of the cats' caretakers to take them in at their home and build a custom "Catio" (outdoor feline patio enclosure) in their backyard! The latter option is the best option for the cats because they'll remain with a caretaker they know and trust, and will remain a small family together. But this option will still come with a big price tag to set these cats up with the best shelter we can provide.
The Catio will be built and provided by John Spat from the non-profit SAVE-A-DOG rescue, who is going to convert an old fenced-in dog enclosure to accommodate cats, and build an insulated shed that will shelter them from the elements, give them warm, dry bedding, and food and water stations. They will have access to the newly retrofitted "cat run" where they can bask in the sun and revel in nature while still being safe and protected from predators and the elements.
100% of all proceeds will go to the shelter and care for these four cats. All donors will be updated with pictures and details on the progress of the build, so you know that every dollar is going only to the cats!
Help us reach our goal of $12,000 and donate to this worthy cause. To further our fundraising efforts, whether you can donate or not, please donate your time by sharing this fundraiser with 10 of your friends. If 10 of your friends share this with 10 of their friends, we'll reach our goal in time for when the KO Yard redevelopment breaks ground!
Thank you on behalf of Mama, Sparky, Scamp, and Monty!
