I LOVE LIVING A LIFE OF SERVICE!
I am the proud daughter of an Army Vietnam paratrooper and sister of an Army Blackhawk helicopter pilot who unfortunately died because of his service. I did not serve in the military, but I have found a way to serve my country and our Veterans by volunteering as a nurse on many Honor Flights for the past 12 years! It has been the honor and pleasure of my life helping these Veterans get the recognition they deserve and some never got. I have volunteered thousands of hours on our medical team for Central Valley Honor Flights, and now I have had the pleasure of being asked to accompany a Korean veteran friend as his guardian on a flight with Central Coast Honor Flight. The guardians have to pay their own way and the fee is not small. I only work part-time as a palliative care nurse because I also have a mother I help with a terminal disease, so $1300 is a lot to come up with. If you can help even just a small amount, it would be so appreciated. I am honored to be asked by this veteran to be his guardian on his trip of a lifetime.
