A dear friend’s mother has a serious spinal cord injury due to infection that has caused partial paralysis. She is unable to move certain parts of her body and it has also affected her ability to speak. Right now she can’t talk and isn’t able to take care of herself at all. She depends fully on others for basic needs like eating, dressing, moving, and personal care.

She requires regular medical treatment, physical therapy, and multiple daily medications.

The cost of her care which includes her medications is between $5,000 to $10k until the family has more of a clearer understanding of what’s next.
