<div>"My name is Khaled and I'm a twenty seven year old graduate of public relations living in the Gaza Strip with my family: mother, brother and sister.

<div>Like many families, our world has been turned upside down by these past months of war. We haven't worked since last year, and we only leave the house to buy the necessities but each passing day is a struggle to stay alive.
</div>

<div>It's not just the destruction which takes place all around which threatens us: like many people we've struggled to find food, clean water and access to sanitation. We had to leave our home in the early days of the war, but thankfully now we're back home in the centre of the Gaza Strip where we've trying to stay safe together.
</div>

<div>One of our biggest problems is that prices have increased drastically for the most basic of goods, and we've used all of our financial resources to stay alive. These days, more than 70 members of our extended family have come to seek shelter in our home as they have left their own houses in towns across the Gaza Strip.

<div>We have been supported financially by a friend in Ireland throughout the war, but now we're asking for your assistance to help us stay afloat for a little longer. Your support will allow us to buy the basics for all the people staying with us so that we can keep going until the end of the war. We pray the war ends very soon so we can get back to work, stand back on our own feet and start to rebuild our lives.
