Support A Future Olympian!

Hi, my name is Janiah and I am 15 years old. My dream for the future is to qualify for the USA Olympic karate team and compete at the 2020 Olympics. I have been practicing Shotokan karate with Shihan Tony Butler of Albany, New York, since I was 4 years old and have been competing nationally since I was 8.

Fast forward to the present, I am now a black belt and have been competing as one since I was 10 years old. I’ve won trophies and medals in competitions throughout the USA. It seems like quite a bit of experience, but it’s just the beginning for me to reach my Olympic dream!

This year, I have been invited to compete internationally in June 2018 for the AAU USA karate team in Scotland. I am requesting help to cover associated travel and registration costs. Any donations, big or small, would help tremendously, as competing in this tournament will be life changing for me.

I am very grateful for the opportunities getting me closer to my dream. I will keep you updated on my journey to success and on future, smaller tournaments and competitions.
