Pleasant Point Cemetery in Green Cove Springs is a historically significant site that has been long neglected. It is the final resting place of the Forrester family — the first free Black family in Clay County. All three Forrester sons were freed by their father and went on to serve in the Union Army during the Civil War. This sacred ground, believed to hold over 60 family members, is now overgrown, damaged, and in dire need of restoration.

‍♂️ Meanwhile, the brand new Golden Eagle Wrestling Club on Fleming Island is just beginning its journey to restore a once-proud wrestling tradition. With new leadership, passionate student athletes, and big dreams — all that's missing is the proper equipment to get started, including wrestling mats that cost thousands.

On August 23rd, the young men and women of the Golden Eagle Wrestling Club will volunteer their time to help clear and restore Pleasant Point Cemetery in a massive community clean-up.

Every $25 donated helps us:

Fund much-needed equipment for the wrestling club, AND

Restore the historic Pleasant Point Cemetery, including the purchase of new headstones and grave markers.
