Hi everyone, I am reaching out far and wide to help out one of my top employees who recently had a home crisis that now has her family, including two children, put out to the streets or hotels.

About two weeks ago, her basement flooded in the house she and her husband are renting, and it was deep enough that it caused a pilot to go out. As you could imagine, the gas kept going and filling their home. Luckily, they woke up and got out of the house before they never woke again or it exploded with them inside.

They have been struggling to live day to day as neither she nor her husband could work, attending to their near homelessness. They are in and out of cheap hotels and having to eat out for all of their meals, and the kids can’t even go to school. They have contacted DSS, ARC, RHA, and more to find emergency temporary housing, but to no avail; they make “too much” to be approved. I think we can all admit to the real fact that most people are not actually making enough to save an adequate amount for these types of emergencies. As her boss, I know this to be a fact.

To make matters worse, her POS landlord is taking no responsibility and is practicing no sense of urgency. He has officially kicked them out and executed their lease by telling them to go find another house. He has no care in the world and even went as far as to expect them to continue to pay rent. The house has officially been tagged by some housing organization, and they cannot even go in to retrieve their possessions, and the landlord isn’t even willing to help do something about their stuff. He is a real gem!

I think we can all admit this kind of situation is a real fear for us all. Between gas leaks and fires, this is my BIGGEST fear in life. Ask yourself, if this happened to you, are you honestly in a position to restart from the ground up while protecting your kids and providing for them, all the while keeping yourself as sane as possible through it all? So I am asking for your help and those far and wide to spread this post and help me help her. Everyone knows I will never ask for help for myself, and everyone knows I am one of the first to help others no matter what. I have financially provided to so many, I have helped with needed furnishings and appliances for many, I have given and given and given but never ask for anything in return. I am hopeful that my friends and their friends will show their love and reciprocate and help me help my top employee. Times are tough, I know, but a little bit adds up and goes a long way for someone in a true emergent situation. Please help!! I will never stop helping all of you, so please help me get her and her family back on their feet. Thank you!!
