<div>I’m raising funds for my father, Lance Maynard,
</div>
<div>as my family and I navigate an incredibly painful
</div>
<div>and uncertain time.
</div>
<div>Lance has suffered an irreversible brain injury,
</div>
<div>and unfortunately, his condition has reached a
</div>
<div>point where we are preparing for the possibility
</div>
<div>of losing him. While he is still with us, we know
</div>
<div>that his time may be coming to an end, and we
</div>
<div>are trying to prepare for what lies ahead while
</div>
<div>also facing the financial burden of his final and
</div>
<div>funeral expenses.
</div>
<div>Lance did not have life insurance or funds set
</div>
<div>aside to cover these expenses, which is why we
</div>
<div>are reaching out to our family, friends, and
</div>
<div>community for support.
</div>
<div>Lance is a caring father, brother, uncle, and
</div>
<div>father figure to many of his nieces and nephews.
</div>
<div>He helped raise family members who saw him
</div>
<div>as the father they needed. He was always willing
</div>
<div>to help someone who needed it and would take
</div>
<div>you fishing simply because he knew you enjoyed
</div>
<div>it.
</div>
<div>He had a special heart for the youth in his
</div>
<div>community. Lance would organize fishing
</div>
<div>derbies to encourage young people to become
</div>
<div>interested in fishing and to keep them away
</div>
<div>from drugs. Fishing was one of the things he
</div>
<div>loved most.
</div>
<div>These are just a few of the many things that
</div>
<div>make Lance who he is. He has touched so many
</div>
<div>lives, and our family wants to be able to honor
</div>
<div>him and give him the farewell he deserves when
</div>
<div>that time comes.
</div>
<div>The funds raised will help cover Lance’s funeral
</div>
<div>and final expenses so that when the time
</div>
<div>comes, our family can focus on grieving and
</div>
<div>being together rather than worrying about how
</div>
<div>we will afford the expenses.
</div>
