The early morning of August 3, 2017
Eric Dmytrusz ( age 38 ) was walking on the side of the road when he was struck by a moving vehicle going 50mph! He was in a coma for a few weeks and on life support. He also had a seizure when the Doctors tried to do surgery on his neck the first time.
UPDATE: August 25, 2017
As of today Eric is going to PT and OT at the hospital. He's doing well with his therapies. He's had some minor improvements. He will be going to A spinal cord Rehab facility for awhile. I received the police report from our attorney. The guy did not have insurance. So until this case is settled our hands are tied. Eric has little to no movement in both his legs and arms. He was the bread winner and took care of his Wife and Child. His wife is now by his side every step of his recovery. He has a long road ahead of him.

UPDATE: December 13, 2017
Eric has been at Special Tree Rehabilitation for Traumatic Brain Injury and spinal cord injury since October. The mobility in his legs is promising. He can walk with braces and a specialized walker. He goes to therapy 3 hours a day and participate in some activities. Some days are better than others. His arms and hands have very limited mobility. He is working so very hard. I only get to visit him once a month due to our truck not being drivable. Our daughter and I miss him very much. I start nursing school in January and won't have a vehicle I can rely on. I've been searching for a job close to home and no luck quite yet. I'm behind in all our bills because I only have child support coming in. Eric's ssi and case for the accident hasn't went to court yet. If I don't catch up rent soon we probably will be evicted. I've asked dhs and mcop for assistance but was declined. If anyone can help we would greatly appreciate it.
