<div>I have got to know Abdulhai over the past six months, we have talked regularly. He is such a lovely gentle soul and I am so grateful to have got to know him. Below is his story in his own words:

<div>My name is Abdulhai, a 20-year-old from Gaza. I once dreamed of becoming an engineer, building my future with my own hands. But the war changed everything. My life has turned from dreams into a never-ending nightmare. I have lost my sense of safety, lost the normal life I once had, and now I am just another survivor struggling to stay alive every single day. I have nothing left—no home, no income, and often not even enough food to last for a few days.

<div>My Brother Mahmoud Is Battling Cancer Alone On top of everything, my brother Mahmoud is fighting cancer. He had to be sent to the West Bank for treatment, but he is completely alone there—without family, without support, and without enough resources to continue his treatment. He is battling both illness and uncertainty, and I am here, powerless to help him or even be by his side. The pain of not being there for him is unbearable. He needs me, but he also knows that I am barely surviving myself.

<div>We Lost Everything, Even Our Only Source of Income Life was never easy before the war, but at least we had a way to survive. Now, we have lost everything. Our home is no longer safe, and with it, we lost our only source of income. There is no money for food, not even for basic necessities. Some nights, we sleep hungry. Other times, we wait for hours just to find a small amount of food to keep us going.

<div>I Am Suffering Too, but I Can’t Give Up Hunger is not the only thing slowly killing us. The exhaustion and sickness are taking a toll as well. My back hurts constantly due to malnutrition and the unbearable living conditions. The headaches never stop. Every part of my body is screaming from the pain, but there is no medicine, not even basic painkillers to relieve my suffering.

<div>Why Am I Asking for Your Help? I am not asking for much—just a chance to survive, to save myself and my brother Mahmoud. I can’t do this alone.
