The Mongolian Kindergarten Project!

Hello! We finally, after months of searching, found the perfect location for a kindergarten and children's activity center in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.

Mongolia is a beautiful, but poor country and often children are left in daycares with staff that don't care, are violent or too few. My own son was put in a small room with 10 other toddlers and only 2 teachers! This made me decide that I want to make a difference, along with a friend, who's a teacher, we made a plan to start a kindergarten combined with pre-school, after-school activites and a teacher-training course.
Children in every corner of the world deserve a safe and loving learning environment where they can develop their potential, talents and personalities. Let's make it happen in Mongolia too!
But we are in a hurry, there are already children waiting for our facilities to be ready and we need to pay a deposit for renting rooms. We have found a nice 170msq facility, with outdoor space, the important thing is that it is not in the polluted city centre.
Now, what we urgently need funding for is:
- tables, chairs, desks. whiteboards,
- shelves, lockers and bookshelves
- renovation of the bathroom and toilet
- stationairy equippment
- 2 computers, 1 printer/1 copying machine
- wallpaper, rugs and fans
- Educational toys, board games
- Art and craft supplies
- Books and toys, mattresses, pillows and blankets for the nap-time room.
- We also need to hire and train about 4 assistant teachers.
