At DANI, an organization that supports adults with cognitive and physical challenges, we believe that growing and developing is a lifelong process. Through practicing life, social and vocational skills, we aim to nurture their growth and enhance their quality of life.
We use the universal love for art as a barrier-breaking and empowering tool. The DANI art programs provide the adults with opportunities to follow their passion, while enjoying the emotional, cognitive and social benefits of artmaking. They create unique pieces, while learning and socializing with others who share their interests.

Our program focuses on a variety of topics through hands-on experiences. The art created by the participants reflects their feelings, thoughts, desires, and view of reality. We are thankful that we can have a glimpse into our adults’ inner world and for the meaningful moments we share together at the program.
The art program, is an important part of helping adults develop and grow. It’s an opportunity to develop communication skills by analyzing and expressing what they see in pieces of art. Social skills are developed through group discussions on the different elements of art. When art pieces are being created, the adults’ emotions and feeling are being poured into the creations.

Due to the program’s success and the growing interest in participation, we need your help! With your support, we will be able to purchase supplies, which will be used to create high quality, one of a kind art pieces in all the different art classes we offer.
