But... WHY?!
Guys, there are two main reasons why I'm doing this campaign:

1.     I have no car...


     -  Many of you know this already, but... on July 4th I was T-boned in my 77 Camaro coming home from faire.  I had been restoring it since 2006 (since I could drive) and had only completed the project a month prior to the accident.  This was my late mothers' car and one of the few things that I still had of hers.  My father saved it for me, even during years of his own financial difficulties, when selling it could have made his life much easier.
       This was a loss that cannot be measured in dollars.  Now I am without a vehicle and struggle daily to get to work... I need some wheels.

2.     A fresh start!


     -     My girlfriend Catherine and I are begining a new chapter in our lives.  I'm very happy to say that she and I have moved into a little house in Denver!  What I'm less happy about, is the crippling stress of foreboding financial ruin...  I've tried very hard to shelter others from my bad luck.  Balancing loans, borrowing from family, and selling prized possessions in order to make ends meet has been my routine for the past two months... but I've reached a point where I have done all I can do, and before I try to build a better future, I must solve the woes which are eroding my foundation.
            So, I'm not going to sugar coat this next part.  As of December 18th, I have no car, no money, limited insurance, and no presents to put under the tree for my loved ones. That is to speak nothing of legal battles, rent and bills from being disabled over a difficult two months... It's time for a life preserver around my neck, not an anchor.

Basically...

Thank you!  No really, thank you to every single person in our lives who has made me feel loved, and supported me any little way.  I am beyond grateful to you all, and can never repay you for the many blessings you have already filled my life with, but I will try... I love you all, so much.
