Superbaby Kalel's Cancer Treatment

On February 22nd, 2016 our family's superbaby, Kalel Kenneth Nelson, flew into our lives. He is such an incredibly joyful baby, who sleeps and eats a ton just like his father, Jermaine. However, despite sharing a name with Superman, our superbaby Kalel is fighting a battle we could never imagine – cancer.
Just shy of his 3 month birthday, Kalel has already beaten the flu and was released from the emergency room just in time to celebrate his mom’s birthday. He was also able to be home to celebrate Mothers’ Day with his mom, Yasmin, his dad, and his big sister, Victoria.
A few weeks after returning home, Kalel’s parents noticed a bump on his head that continued to grow and unfortunately, doctors confirmed it was a tumor. At this point in time we don't know what type of cancer Kalel has, but we should find out next week.
Kalel's parents, Jermaine & Yasmin, are incredibly generous, kind, fun, and loving people. They’re building an amazing family with their 4 year old daughter, Victoria, who has been anxiously involved with helping to take care of her baby brother since his arrival. Jermaine & Yasmin have provided so much guidance and support for others during challenging and wonderful times. Now that they’re the ones in need, we will be there for them every step of the way on Kalel’s journey towards victory against cancer.
We have started this Go Fund Me account to ease the burden of extraordinary medical costs on Kalel’s family. The goal of the fund is to help Kalel become cancer-free. At this time we’re unsure of the costs that will be involved with his care & treatment, but we’ll update the fundraising goal as we learn more. We humbly ask that you share this story with friends & family and if possible, please donate. Any amount will help.
Our family’s biggest dream is to see our superbaby grow up healthy & strong. Your support can help make this possible. It would have an immeasurable impact on Kalel's life and ours. We thank all of the family and friends that have been supportive thus far.
