Super Typhoon Goni

My birthday is coming up, and just as this month begun, as if the Pandemic and the looming lockdown looming around is not difficult and depressing enough, another disaster with an outcome of unutterable aftermath have just swept my beloved mother Country, mainly Luzon.

A Category 5 Super Typhoon named “Goni”, the strongest typhoon in the WORLD (CNN: https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.cnn.com/cnn/2020/10/31/asia/philippines-typhoon-goni-intl-hnk/index.html) has just devastated the Philippines, most especially Luzon. This in the middle of the pandemic. Millions of people had to be evacuated and you can only imagine how difficult it will be to socially distance displaced families in such facilities.

One of my good friends, Kit’s hometown in Malilipot, Bicol, is one of the horrendously affected. Viciously strong winds brought by the said super typhoon have left countless homes wrecked to the ground, roofs and walls torn apart.

I personally implore you to kindly donate through my bank details which I will provide below, with a reference attached (this is due to the fact that donations made through Facebook takes ages to be sent over). Any amount will do, and rest assured this will directly go to Crizelda Bilasano to be sent to her local community to help provide sustenance to those who are grossly affected by this calamity.

I would want nothing more for my upcoming birthday than to reach out to my fellow Filipinos who are not as fortunate as I am, as a way of paying it forward. Celebrating Christmas during a pandemic, without a roof over their heads or food on their plate is such a situation I can’t even begin to imagine. Especially for the children. Most of these people have pennies to their names before this, and the little things they have, they’ve surely shed blood, sweat, and tears only to be taken away overnight by a super typhoon.

Thank you in advance for any one who will donate to this cause.

Bangon, Pilipinas!
We’ve been through so much disasters and calamities, our resilience and ‘Bayanihan’ will always prevail.
