SUPER TECI

The Avilas have chosen to take Terecita to New Orleans to a world-renown Neurologist . There, Teci will receive hyperbaric oxygen therapy that has helped many other children recover from their brain injuries. The program she needs to enter will require her and her parents to travel to New Orleans and stay for two straight months. Without this care, Teci will need to just “wait and see” if she improves. This just isn’t good enough! Your help is needed. The treatments, the upcoming two months of living expenses out of state, and the already existing medical bills after insurance are beginning to add up. Teci will not be able to go through these treatments without additional financial help. Over the last couple of months the Avilas have witnessed the miracle of prayer and the miracle of people coming together to support their precious Teci. We want to give this family ALL we can to get this little girl all of the help she needs to hopefully, one day, do again the things we take for granted.

Long time Beggars employees Liz and Guillermo Avila went to work, just like any other day On July 18th, 2017. This is when their lives were changed forever! Liz received a call to come home, when she arrived she witnessed her bubbly, fun loving, energetic little 3 year old on the floor with a grape lodged in her throat, lansing paramedics were trying to resuscitate her. They were successful, but she was without oxygen for a long 19 minutes. Tericita was on life support for weeks when the families prayers were finally answered and tericita was able to breath on her own.
TERECITA was then moved into rehab where she is learning things like holding up her head and swallowing so she can be taken off of her feeding tube. Terecita is being released on October 17th and the full outcome is unknown, will she be able to walk and talk, sing and dance again?
