Meet Alice Hall.
Alice never sugar coats her condition, but she rarely complains.
In fact, for those of us that love her, it's amazing how she faces the challenges dealt to her. She is an inspiration to all who meet her.

Alice has (SMA) Spinal Muscular Atrophy, type 3.
It's a brutal condition. *

Alice has been living with the effects of SMA of most of her life.
Last year, Alice came down with a bad case of pneumonia.
Her illness led to her being intubated.
Her family and friends almost thought they had lost her, but luckily thanks to modern medical miracles, Alice pulled through.
Unfortunately, her parents have been unable to care for her.

Alice is now under the care of a nursing home facility. She is ready to break out.
Currently, her friends are working with her social worker to help her get into an independent living situation.
She is seeking handicapped accessible housing, live-in and full time care and access to a network that can support her physical and medical needs.

This Go-fund me update has been to now accommodate Alice's meal needs.
She is working with a dietitian to get into the best health she can manage.
We (her friends) are trying to meal prep for her and have food available to her, that will nourish her and help her body function better. The nursing home she is at now is not capable of meeting her nutritional needs. It's a problem with many health care facilities. The financial impact of eating well can be a burden for many.

Anything given will be immensely appreciated. If you want to make her food and deliver it to her personally, please let us know as we will set you up with the pertinent details.

*"Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) is a rare, genetically inherited neuromuscular condition. It causes progressive muscular weakness and loss of movement due to muscle wasting (atrophy). This may affect crawling and walking ability, arm, hand, head and neck movement, breathing and swallowing. SMA is often grouped into ‘Types’. Types of SMA are based on the age at which symptoms first begin and what physical ‘milestones’ a baby or child is likely to achieve. Milestones include the ability to sit, stand or walk."--http://www.smasupportuk.org.uk/sma-type-3-information
