Sup Mas Go to Nationals

The Women’s Ultimate Frisbee Club at Michigan Tech recently earned a spot to compete at the national championships in Norco, California this coming December (17th-20th)! This is an incredible feat for our team, to get here we trained all last year over COVID and beat the number one ranked team at the regional tournament last weekend (10/16-10/17). At nationals we will be competing with the top 16 DIII teams in the country. We are incredibly proud as this is only our 2nd sanctioned season as a team (established in Fall 2018) That said, nationals is a very expensive accomplishment. The goal is to make nationals affordable for everyone. It is not often that Michigan Tech sees a nationally successful women’s club sport and recognizing that women’s sports at Michigan Tech are wholly underserved and underappreciated in a predominately male school, a successful national tournament for our team is a major step in the right direction for the university as a whole. We are so thankful for all of our supporters!
