Sunshine for Addi

In our darkest days, we need sunshine the most.  Please help us spread "Sunshine for Addi." 

My daughter's dear friend, Addi Bressler recently received the news no fourth grader should ever hear.  She has been diagnosed with leukemia.  Her diagnosis is so new, there are many unanswered questions and I will post updates as we learn more.  For now, she has begun treatment and is being cared for by the amazing medical staff at C.S. Mott Children's Hospital.

Addi will not be returning to school with her classmates at Monroe Catholic Elementary Schools this year while she begins her journey back to health.    As you can imagine, this is all a crushing blow as they have faced other serious medical challenges within the past year.

During the long road ahead, Addi and her mother will need tremendous support.  Many have already asked what they can do.   The greatest immediate need will be financial support to manage the financial obligations that come with long-term care.  In addition, her mother's ability to work will be greatly diminished as she cares for Addi.   A deposit account has been set up to meet Addi's healthcare needs beyond those covered by insurance as well as to assist with lost income needed to pay household expenses.  All funds raised through this campaign will be withdrawn to the account and managed by Beth's sister, Bonnie Risveglia.
