Sunset Park 44th Street Fire Community Fund

On April 3rd, 2019, the Sunset Park Brooklyn community experienced a devastating 6-alarm fire that displaced more than 50 families including young children and elderly neighbors.
Many homes have been completely destroyed and the building is likely uninhabitable for the foreseeable future.
In the typical Sunset Park spirit of community and generosity that so many people have experienced in our beloved neighborhood, we are coming together to raise funds for our neighbors so they can rebuild and focus on the wellbeing of themselves and their families.
100% of all net funds raised will be evenly distributed among the surviving households.
Please donate here and look for upcoming local events that will help our community and impacted families begin to heal.
Note: The "host" of this campaign is the Sunset Park Business Improvement District, a 20+ year old, non-profit community service organization. We will work with local leaders, elected officials, impacted households and faith organizations to ensure all funds raised are fairly allocated to those in need. En el espíritu típico comunitario y de generosidad que tantas personas han experimentado en nuestro querido vecindario de Sunset Park, nos hemos reunido para recaudar fondos para nuestros vecinos para que se puedan recuperar y enfocarse en el bienestar de ellos mismos y sus familias.
El 100% de todos los fondos netos recaudados se distribuirán uniformemente entre los hogares sobrevivientes.

Nota: El "anfitrión" de esta campaña es el Distrito de Mejoras Comerciales de Sunset Park, una organización de servicios comunitarios sin fines de lucro de más de 20 años. Trabajaremos con líderes locales, funcionarios electos, hogares afectados y organizaciones religiosas para asegurarnos de que todos los fondos recaudados se asignen de manera justa a los necesitados.
