Sunrise Staff Appreciation Fund

As the Holiday Season quickly approaches, residents and families have begun asking about appropriate gifts for Sunrise of Palo Alto Team Members. My name is Mary Gorman. My mother is Betty Nurick and she has been living at Sunrise for almost 11 years. This will be my third year in charge of the Holiday fund and I am happy to volunteer.

As you all know there is a very strict “no tipping policy” at Sunrise. In lieu of tipping you may contribute to the Team Member Holiday Gift Fund. The Team Member Holiday Gift Fund is established in appreciation of the hourly team members, many visible to you daily and many not visible. As you are aware the team members work very hard, performing their daily job duties with a cheerful smile and upholding the Sunrise standards of our community. This fund helps us recognize their contributions.

Your Team Member Gift Fund contribution will be distributed to the hourly associate members, as a Holiday Gift from the Sunrise residents/families, at the “Team Members Holiday Party”.  All contributions must be received by December 5th.

I know the team members of Sunrise are very appreciative of the generosity shown by the residents and families in the past. I am looking forward to another great holiday season for Sunrise of Palo Alto. I thank you most sincerely for your loving thoughts and generosity during this very special Holiday Season.  For reference, last year we raised approximately $20,000.  Families gave in all quantities ranging from $20 - $1000.  Any amount will be greatly appreciated.
