Daycare in South Africa fundraiser

Hello everyone!

We are two volunteer teachers from the Sunrise Educare Centre located in the Capricorn township near Muizenberg, Cape Town.

We have been working with a class of 30 children from 4-5 years old for a month. Every week we listen to horror stories from their lives told by the teachers or even by the kids themselves. Most of them have lost family and parents to crime, alcohol or drug abuse and are constantly neglected and forgotten.

At the day care center they have a safe space where they can learn and play away from their constant realities. However, the classroom they are in is no longer adequate for them. We plan on renovating the space by getting a new blackboard and magnetic panel for them to have proper lessons. They are also in need of new mattresses and a complete first aid kit. Also, we want to install a fan due to the lack of ventilation and humidity in the classroom.

Therefore we ask for your help to renovate this important place. If you are in a position to donate you’ll be directly helping this kids’ education. We are going to ensure the funds will be spent in the most effective way for the intentions mentioned. Both of us have 5 weeks left here and we want to make the most out of them by helping these kids with more resources.
