Sunrise Day Camp WiFi Initiative

My name is Ryan J. Coyne. I’m a tech entrepreneur, public speaker, and father. I recently started working with a 501c3 non-profit called Sunrise Day Camp. The campers are exclusively children with or recovering from cancer and their siblings, who all get to attend for free, thanks to the generous ongoing donations and partnerships with sponsors ranging from families and individuals to corporations.
Many children are currently undergoing treatment. It’s common to see many children in wheelchairs, and common for children to be bused in from local children’s hospitals to be able to feel as normal as possible while living in the hospital for extended periods. The camp directors and volunteers are incredible people that donate their time and passion to providing custom environments, programs, and activities fit for children in their circumstances.
In order to connect two vital buildings on campus and provide usable strong WiFi campus-wide to medical personnel using tablets to access medical records and take vitals etc., some special underground cabling and equipment needs to be installed, so that the kids don’t have to stop their activities and group interactions including meals with their friends to retreat to a cold office for exams, that would otherwise snap them out of the fun and enjoyment that so many healthy children are privileged to enjoy without a second thought.
As the Chief Technology Officer of Liincs.org, a 501c3 non-profit organization comprised of environmentally and socially active bipartisan Long Island young professionals empowering and ensuring the bright future of Long Island, along with the rest of the Liincs board, have decided to volunteer our personal time to see the project through, but we need your help.
I hope to count on your contribution as well as helping get the word out, to help improve the quality of life for the campers and the volunteers supporting them- a cause that we can all get behind. 100% of the donations will be going directly to Sunrise Day Camp to achieve the WiFi project’s success and enhance the technology that facilitates the best experience for all campers and staff.
