SunFun Team at Global Technovation

We are the SunFun team and we are five 12 year old girls who are determined to make a difference in the world of sun safety! In 2017 we designed and coded an app called SunFun.  Our app teaches kids like us how to be sun safe with the aim to change the harrowing statistic that two in three Australians are diagnosed with skin cancer before they reach the age of seventy years old! We wrote a 48 page business plan and collaborated with Cancer Council Queensland to incorporate important sun safety information and guidelines throughout our app.  This project won us the National title in the Search for the Next Tech Girl Superhero competition.  As ambassadors for Tech Girls Movement, we have been invited to attend the Global Technovation in San Francisco in July 2018.  At this event we will pitch our app to Google and Facebook! We will meet other like-minded participants on a mission to make STEM based careers desirable for girls.  Most importantly, we will spread our sun safety message globally!
