2025 Sundae Sermon Music 17th Anniversary Festival Season

Hey Congregation! This is not just any Sunday—it’s a Sundae Sermon kind of summer.”

The Legacy:
Seventeen summers. Thousands of families. No drama. Just dancing, loving and joy.

When we started Sundae Sermon, it was about more than music. It was about Harlem in the park bringing peace to the pavement. The dancers pop lock, spin, twirl, elders two-step, and the babies run free. "For the culture.” People not only from Harlem come to Sundae Sermon but they travel from of boro's, states and internationally.

Musical Journey:
The collage of House, Afro, Disco, Classic Hip Hop and just feel good music keep the spirits high while people dance and picnic.

The Reality Behind the Joy:
But here’s the real, this joy doesn’t come for free. Sound, DJs Performers, Advertising, Social Media, Admin, photography, video, security, the cleanup and the list goes on, all has to be sorted.

And this year? We’ve had some real roadblocks. Permits delayed, red tape piling up, and a lot of maybes til but we pulled off. So now—we’re asking you, the people who know what this means, to walk with us.

The Ask:
Due to arts funding cuts, we’re well short of our $50,000 season goal.
Right now, we need to raise $20,000.

If you’ve ever smiled at a Sundae Sermon event, brought your kids, met up with your friends from college, had an amazing experience and want keep the high level experience for another 17 years, please make a love donation. Every dollar counts as we embark in the next season. We are asking you to give. $5, $10, $25—it makes a difference.

With curating free events, we are also launching Sundae Sermon For The People our new nonprofit. SS4TP is a not-for-profit supporting our tradition of free event series in the village of Harlem while fostering a mentor program for ages 14-to 18-year-old young adults. Sundae Sermon For The People will also be supporting other organizations such as Cancer and Domestic Violence.

Thank you for showing up, dancing with us under the sun and bringing us Joy!
