My name is Pamla DL Johnson. I have been fundraising to aid the families of single parents and/or homeless families since 2012. https://www.rosaswill.org/ceo
I started helping single parents who were homeless because it speaks to my own truth. My daughter and I became a single parent homeless family in 2004. We bounced around from extended stay hotels to friends and co-workers households back to extended stay hotels until I was blessed to be accepted into a transitional housing program.
There, and throughout my experiences within that program I was able to find my purpose. I went on to attain my BS in Applied Management in Business and MPA with concentrations in Nonprofit Management and Public Management. I started a nonprofitIn 2013. I named it for my parents. I am grateful for the opportunity to give back to those who are in a span within their journey that they need a helping hand so desperately, just as I did.
My nonprofit is called The William James &Rosa Lee Little Foundation. Right now, I have 3 programs, Sunbeam Projects: BackPacks-2-School Supplies, and Embracing Families For The Holidays (Thanksgiving and Christmas). Our programs operate solely from the generosity of donors.
This is another step in the direction of giving back to communities in need. Whether it’s helping single parent, homeless or two parent families with income disparities I have found that there are a lot of people in need.
Join me in Being A Blessing That Makes A Difference to communities in need of an opportunity! https://www.rosaswill.org/get-involved
Our community donations have gone and will continue to go to Fulton County Schools ( William M. Boyd Elementary, Frederick Douglas High School). 2019 donations allowed us to assist students attending Gwinnett County Schools (Beaver Ridge Elementary, Summerour Middle School and Norcross High School). This year we are hoping to surpass last years goals.
Give here at My GoFundMe or through our website at www.rosaswill.org. 98% of your donations go back into the communities we help.
Thank you in advance!
Blessed To Be The Blessings,
Pamla DL Johnson
