Tragedy at WR Amphitheater Concert

Hello Sumner Nation,

On Friday night, August 24th one our Sumner family members (Brad Metcalf) was walking back to his car after the Pain in the Grass concert at the White River Amphitheater when he was assaulted and blindsided by a group of young men. They knocked him unconscious and then continued to beat him as he lay on the ground. They kicked the whole left side of this body leaving him black and blue and then stomped on his leg breaking both his tibia and fibula and tearing all of the tendons in his ankle.

The police are looking into the matter but in the meantime, Brad needs surgery to repair his shattered leg/ankle. The other very unfortunate thing is that he did not have insurance at the time of this attack as he was in the process of finding a new provider. The added burden as a result of this tragedy is that he will need to pay for the surgery out of pocket and he is now unable to work.

Let us all come together and help this wonderful family out! Let's lift Brad up in prayer and support!!
