Summer in Southeast Asia

My name is Callie Luckadoo, I am a Junior Accounting major at North Greenville University, and I am spending the summer of 2013 serving in Southeast Asia!

In mid-May, I will travel to a large city in Southeast Asia, live with recent college graduates who are currently serving with a missions organization, and experience two and a half months fully immersed in Asian culture. I will have a variety of ministry opportunities, including children's programs, backyard Bible clubs, and evangelism in the "red light" district of the city. I will return to the States at the end of July "“ just in time to begin my senior year of college.

In addition to getting experience with many hands-on ministry opportunities, I will be fulfilling the requirements for my accounting internship. I will be working in the finance department of the missions organization, managing budgets and doing communications with missionaries who are currently serving in other countries in Asia. I am very excited to see how God can use my passion for missions and my training in accounting to further the work of His kingdom in Southeast Asia.

So, now that you know what I will be doing while I am in Asia, I would like to ask for your help. This is an opportunity for you, your family, and your church to partner with me to support the work of Christ as I journey halfway around the world to serve. The total cost of the trip, including plane tickets, health insurance, and visa is $4000. The cost of living will be $10 per day. So, will you prayerfully consider sponsoring me for a day?

         The need that I am expressing is more than a mere financial goal. I am in need of prayer, and lots of it!
