Disaster Relief USVI & Puerto Rico

****UPDATE**** I am giving 100% of the donations from this fund to USVI Saint Thomas and Yabucoa Puerto All Hands Program’s. I was lucky enough to receive a flight voucher so I do not require any funds for flights. Sooooo, NEW incentive. The person who gives the biggest single donation will receive an All Hands sweatshirt. Hi everyone, my name is Naomi Tomita. I am a 4th grade teacher working overseas on a U.S. Military Installation. I LOVE my job, but let's be honest, by the time summer rolls around, I AM SOOOOOO READY!! It's the perfect rest and relaxation to get me recharged for the next year. I am usually bumming around and just catching up on my favorite movies and TV shows. I am basically a sloth all summer. However, after some self-reflection, I realized how unproductive I have been summer after summer. This summer, I am changing that. Living overseas doesn't really offer opportunities to help fellow Americans during times of tragedy. So, I am taking it upon myself this summer to DO MORE. I have committed to volunteering 2 weeks in the United States Virgin Islands and 2 weeks in Puerto Rico to help with recovery/rebuilding efforts that have been going on. I have never done a Go Fund Me before, but I am hoping that those of you who are not able to give your own time, might be able to help support me to fulfill my time. I am trying to raise the cost of my flights and stay for USVI and PR. Anything raised beyond that will be donated to the organization I am volunteering with, All Hands and Hearts. If you look on www.charitywatch.org or www.charitynavigator.org you will see how highly rated they are, which is why I elected to work with them.
