Summer Study in New Mexico

As many of you know, I have been activley auditioning and performing thorughout the Houston area, in hopes of finding roles in operas, and other performance opportunites. After an audition in San Antonio, Texas, I was offered an opportunity to study through a summer artist program at the Taos Opera Institute (TOI), in beautiful Taos, New Mexico.
"TOI was established by Mary Jane Johnson and Linda Poetschke in 2007 as a four-week, intensive program designed to bridge the gap between academia and apprenticeships for the emerging young vocal artist."
"Singers participate in interactive sessions with distinguished guests and professional artists, focusing on competition psychology, performance anxiety, audition strategies, stage deportment, dramatic interpretation, and vocal stability. Singers leave TOI with a complete audition package, confidently preparing them for the next level of their career development."https://www.taosoi.org/
This would be a wonderful opportunity for me, as it would help refine, and cultivate my performance skills, introduce me to new roles and music, as well as encourage new networking opportunities around the country.
The cost of the program is $4,500. Each singer recieves a $1000 scholarship, so in total, the program cost is $3,500. Tuition costs would include:
-Housing expenses
-Lessons & coachings
-Master classes & seminars
-A trip to the Santa Fe opera for a tour & performance
-Concerts & galas
I would be responsible for providing my own transportation to and from the program.
I would not have this opportunity of it wasn't for you, and the rest of my wonderful community that supports my music, and my comitment to bringing music to anyone, and everyone. Not just those that can afford it, but that is another conversation for another day...
