Summer Semester in Paris

This summer, I have the opportunity to spend a short semester in Paris through a study abroad program at UNCW where I am currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in studio and digital arts. The classes offered during this time will count directly towards earning that degree and immerse me into one of the most influential art centers of the 20th century. Costs of the trip include tuition, travel, and the overall fee for the program. While it is possible to earn a considerable amount in grants and scholarships through my financial need and academic achievment, a large portion of the costs will likely still need to be covered to make it possible for me to participate in this once in a lifetime experience!    The details of the trip are as follows:  The two classes offered are entitled Museums of Paris and Drawing in Paris, both as advanced level art electives. These two classes will be structured around drawing in multiple locations around and outside the the city as well as visiting many museums and historical sites. I am especially excited to visit the preserved studio of famous Impressionist painter Claude Monet!  I also have the opportunity to stucture an independent study to earn another 3 credit hours if I so choose.  The bulk of the program fee goes toward the cost of an apartment in the heart of Paris, a 3 week metro pass, entry fees to several museums, access to the Accent Education Center and cost for the day trips to Versailles, Rouen, and Giverny.   I appreciate any and all contributions that will go towards funding this trip! I feel that this will truly be a once in a lifetime experience, and certainly the only opportunity of this nature during my time as an undergraduate student! (And likely well beyond!)
